Hurricane Helene left Swannanoa residents without access to fresh food and local vendors without income. In February of 2025, the market began as a community effort, spearheaded by The Hub’s board member Deana Lytle.
The storm destroyed our farms, grocery, and produce stores in Swannanoa. The Swannanoa Resilience Hub is currently working with Mountain Food Products at the WNC Farmers Market to provide fresh produce at each market. We are also actively seeking farm vendors for local produce, meats, and food products.
Want to get involved?
We’re back and growing, and we want you to be part of it! Whether you’re a local vendor, a community organization, want to host a demo, or volunteer your time, there’s a place for you at the market.
